February is always Milonga Month, where we concentrate on Milonga, the fun dance that is easier than tango, a great way to start tango, and as essential to tango as any musical ability. How can you feel the passion of tango until you feel the fun release of milonga? We will explore the music, the history, the steps, the similarities and the differences. Once we get it, we'll throw in a little vals, too. I've been holding Milonga Month's for about 15 years - and now teachers around the world are doing the same. That's because it works! Remember - once you achieve intermediate and above classes, you can come to beginners classes at no extra charge. Only for those who want to really get good at this dance! (But of course that's everyone.) Tuesday Party and Milonga: Tuesday at 9, after the lessons. The most relaxed, approachable and easy milonga there is - No pressure, just great folks who dance with everyone. Everyone welcome! First Wednesday Milonga at KrungThep, 7PM: A lovely milonga, but only comes once a month, so don't miss it! Come early and join us for dinner, so that you don't miss too much dancing. They have been designated Best Thai Restaurant in both 2012 and 2013 by City Pages, so it's definitely worth it. Come hungry! Great service, great food, wood floor. Music starts at 7:00.
