Regular Public Dances
Tuesday Milonga: It's time for our annual Halloween party night! Come in costume, bring scary treats, and we will dance and drink and admire and have a terribly fun time! Next week: Bubbles and Bowties.  9PM, after the lessons,
When people see me out at milongas, they often say "Those parties of yours look like so much fun!" Well, yes, they are. And you are invited!  These parties are a great way to get to know members of the community better. Everyone dances with everyone, and there is time to get to know people. Stop in!

Classes this Week: This week we are going to start working on more turns. Tango started with turns, and turns are really important. We want to make our turns vibrant, easy, comfortable and we want them to really be able to enhance our navigation. What good is a great move if you can't do it on the floor? Or worse, if you have to encroach on other's space? Especially when turns are the most fun when we make them small. Remember the highest praise you can give a tango dancer? "He can dance on a tile!"  Thursday is a heavy technique night. Saturday is nice - we have treats!

Private Lessons:  Essential for understanding and improving. Schedule now!

This Weekend's Events: This Friday is a live music milonga at 4 seasons Dance Studio at 9:30 with Ni Mas Ni Menos. Saturday there is NO MILONGA, but maybe we'll go somewhere else. Sunday Rogue Tango will be at the Eagles, 2507 25th St E. at 7PM

Upcoming:   Who's filling in for me while my gang goes to Buenos Aires? Why, it will be Dave Rost and Greta Larson!! That will start on Tuesday, Nov. 19th. and continue until Dec 10 when I return. Cost is $15 per person per class.  Saturdays will turn into a practica. Bring treats! Thursdays will be suspended until I return.

[TSOM-Announce] TSoM Elections

--

Fran Howley <franmhowley@gmail.com>

9:52 AM (29 minutes ago)
to me
Dear TSoM Members,
Renee Heyne and I are co-chairs of the nominating committee and are tasked to find at least 6 candidates to run for the 2020 TSoM Board which
starts in January. These candidates will fill the positions that will be vacated  by our retiring board members:

President:   Corinne O'Neil
Vice President: Scott Chase
Members at Large
   Barbara Haselbeck
    Mark Jefferis
    Sandra Uri
    Tom Bischoff

The newly elected board members will join these members who continue to serve:

Secretary:  Jan Jahn
Treasurer:  Shannon Carlson
Members at Large:  Fran Howley
                               Renee Heyne
                               Mary Jane Sedderberg

Those elected will be asked to serve a 2 year term  In general the responsibilities include a monthly meeting,  assisting at milonga's, and brain-
storming ways to continue the growth of tango in our community.  Positions of President and Vice President require keeping meetings in order
and leading TSoM in the direction that board members and the general membership suggest.

Former board members are encouraged to return with your experience and knowledge.  The offices of President and Vice President would be ideal
for someone who has an interest in returning to the board.  New board members with some comfort with leadership would be totally qualified as well.

PLEASE consider this a time to 'pay back' to TSoM for all that the organization has done for all of us over the last 20 years!

For more information, please contact Renee, Fran, Corinne or any other board member.

Thanks so much!
