[TSOM-Announce] Gratitude to the tango community

We would like to express our deep gratitude to everyone connected to the tango dance community for continuing to support and enjoy our space for another year. We feel fortunate in so many ways to have and share this lovely space with all of you. We also recognize that without your contributions, financial and otherwise, we wouldn't survive as a business! Everyone who walks through our door supports us, and we thank each and every one of you. Whether you have come to study with us in a class as a student,or been one of the many instructors that have taught in our space , planned a workshop or a party, organized events with dance and music, or have simply strolled in on a weekend to enjoy one of the many dance parties that have happened here, you are all important to us. This is a difficult business to survive. We see constant changes in the dance studio world mostly brought about by shifting economics. We wish those fellow instructors and studio owners who will have the difficult task of relocating next year the best of luck. We try to send support and good energy to everyone else in town trying to make a difference on the dance floor. ROGUE TANGO will be playing at the Loring Bar and Restaurant on New Year's Eve, December 31st, from 6 till 9 pm.

What a perfect way to start out your new year's festivities!  Come out, hear LIVE tango music, have a few dances, perhaps something to eat, drink a cup o' kindness----then, at 9 pm---move on to the rest of your evening as you ring in 2018.

The Loring, under new ownership, is as exquisite a venue as ever. We, in Rogue Tango, are happy and excited to be continuing our long run at this Minneapolis landmark. The address: 327 14th Ave SE, Mpls MN.

This skill is a bit elusive, so there is plenty of work to do. Leaders - followers love the feeling of of a beautiful connection in their bodies. When the connection is right, communication is seamless. Followers, we want to catch all those cool moves the guys are learning, right? Without a good connection, we may be missing half of what they are doing. Let's not fake it - let the moves follow from the energy the leader gives. That's when they are beautiful.  All classes are on as usual - no holiday closings. Is your New Year's resolution to improve your tango? I would love to help. Schedule your private lessons now! Tuesday Party: Easy, fun, laid-back weekly tango party. This week we will help you get rid of those holiday goodies that you don't want sitting around your house. [TSOM-Announce] Holiday Changes for Desperados & New Year Practilonga

Dear Tango Friends,

Scott and I are wishing you the warmest, happiest, most prosperous holiday season with your family and friends!

 

We will not have a Desperados practica on Christmas day.  It’s very rare that we cancel any Monday, but let’s just agree this day is pretty special. So no practica on Christmas.

 

However, on New Year’s Day, we are delighted to offer the very talented DJ Jennifer as our inspiration for a New Year Practilonga!  We’ll start at 7:30 and dance till about 10:00.  Come fancy, come plain, come as you are, but leave better for being with friends. 

 

Per our custom, paid subscribing desperados, please walk in and enjoy.  If you are not a subscriber, Practilongas are $10 so we can keep our DJ’s coming back again! (And you can subscribe at the door J )

I'm sorry to announce that there is NO milonga Mala Yunta on December 2017.

Next milonga Mala Yunta: January, Friday 26th, 2018; as usual at Four Seasons Dance Studio.  In the meantime, we are brewing few projects that will share with you as soon as we have more details. Stay tuned!

Practica or practice is repeated exercise in or performance of an activity or skill so as to acquire or maintain proficiency in it. as compared to Training to develop or form the habits, thoughts, or behavior of (a child orother person) by discipline and instruction   In order to grow as a dancer we need to train our bodies as well as practice or train our bodies as to how they move in relationship to others.
