[TSOM-Announce] Mala Yunta - Milonga Carnaval

Queridos tangueros,

As you know, in South America, February is the month of Carnaval and there are many celebrations everywhere.  It's the time to leave your worries behind and enjoy life, music, dance and friends.  We are happy just because it's CARNAVAL!  (in Spanish it's Carnaval, not Carnival).  Nothing else matters...
This Friday, Feb 27th at Mala Yunta Milonga we'll celebrate Carnaval!  But don't worry, we'll keep it a Milonga!
What: Milonga Carnaval
Where: Four Seasons Dance Studio
When: Fri, Feb 27th from 9:30 until you leave
DJ: Kori
Admission: $10 general, $5 students
Snacks and drinks.  Feel free to BYOB.

Special
10:30pm - Raffle & don't miss a Samba gafieira Demo by Don DeBoer and Jackie Higgins (from Four Seasons Dance Studio).  This Brazilian dance originated in the 1940s in Rio de Janeiro's gafieira (working-class dance halls).  Is it the "brazilian tango"?
Samba no pe (Brazil, Northeast of Argentina): This is the typical dance that you see in the Brazilian Carnival parades.  Everybody is welcome to join and have fun!
If you want to have a glimpse at Samba basic steps https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M5loHqKffn8

Then we continue with our traditional milonga.  If you want more of our  fun dance traditions, we could have another "tanda-break" with:
Cuarteto Cordobes (popular music born in Cordoba province, to me is very similar to Merengue, but please don't tell that I said that…)
Cumbia Argentina
Carnavalito (Norhwest of Argentina, South of Peru, North of Chile, Bolivia):

Los esperamos!!
Bataclan Tango
