The world gets a fresh look but the temperatures drop and our lightweight summer clothing goes into 'mothballs'!   The TSoM Board has thoroughly enjoyed being creative since April - bringing opportunities for all of you to mix and mingle.  Initially this was through zoom and in the summer months we've enjoyed music in unique, fun parks.   MARK YOUR CALENDARS for one more OUTDOOR ADVENTURE to be held on Nov. 7, Saturday.  Details will be coming soon; meanwhile clean off your winter boots and down jackets, hats and gloves. January is around the corner and that is the month for new board members to join the returning folks.  Three Board Members will be leaving:  Jan Jahn, Renee Hayes and Mary Jane Setterberg.  Those remaining include Fran as President, Scott Chase as Vice President, Shannon Carson as Treasurer, Jack Levi, Mary Pearl McKeon, Kathya Dawe, Terri David and Eduardo Drake.   Are you ready to give back to TSoM and add your creative ideas to our planning?   Kathya (thamisa@yahoo.com) and Fran (franmhowley@gmail.com) would be delighted to give you more information if you'd consider a board position.  We are totally aware of the covid limitations; all meetings are held on zoom.  On another note:  Fred Gommels, owner of the Blue Moon Ballroom, has announced an in-person milonga to be held on November 14th in Rochester.   Due to a glitch on TSoM facebook, there is a place where TSoM is listed as one of the hosts.  We are not hosting this with Fred, but sure urge everyone to consider a trip to Rochester for that evening. Masks required when entering or leaving, to use the restroom or when less than 6ft from a person Masks required on the dance floor We'll space the chairs and tables out No food will be provided or shared Plenty of sanitizer, soap & water available If you have symptoms of illness, please stay home The 2000 sq ft floor is plenty large to accommodate spacing. The tandas will be no more than 3 songs. Bring your own partner if you wish. No one will expect you to dance with others.
