| | | Classes this Week: This week we are going to review the ocho cortado options, playing with the music, the look, the rotation, and so many other fun things. There is hardly a more useful and variable move in tango. It always fits on the floor, always musical, and always interesting for the follower. Lots of ways to add interest to your dance for leaders and followers, lots of challenges possible!
In Thursday lessons, we are continuing working on the move that many people have asked about - mostly because they see me use it so often on the floor and followers love it. 6:30 intermediate, 7:30 advanced.
Private Lessons: If you have been vaccinated, we can have a lesson together. Or we can have a socially distanced lesson here if you bring your own partner. Or we can do a video lesson - it works great! ![]()
Tuesday Milonga: A milonga for those who have been vaccinated. Relaxed, fun, welcoming atmosphere, no judgement, inclusive, usually gender balanced. The theme this week is a tribute to Pride Month: Rainbow theme tonight. In your dress, ideas, or in your contributions to the food or wine selections, make it colorful!
A new person came by last week and had so much fun, they said "Why didn't you tell me about this!!" Grrr... Stop by! 8:30, after the lessons.
Sunday, June 13th, 5-8pm Game on for our next TSoM milonga! It'll be finger-poppin' good with a cool and easy popsicle theme. Here's what they've dreamed up so far:

Musings: You've stopped going to tango lessons and milongas It happened gradually, but you got out of the habit of going. Maybe you had a bad experience - too few dances, an unintentional rude comment, feeling out of the "in" crowd. Or maybe all in-person events were cancelled, and video lessons or parties had no appeal. But then there was an enticement - a dance held in a place close to you, a theme that sounded interesting, a friend from out of town wanted to go, and asked you to come along. And it was so much fun! There were all these old friends that you hadn't seen in so long - lots of things to catch up on! There were so many dances! It was hard to get in all the conversations you wanted. And there were some really interesting new people, people new to the scene since you stopped going. People who were interesting, good dancers, and who wanted to dance with them. And even though you thought you had lost your skills, a lot of it came back. These are true stories. Is this you, without the enticement and return?
