Hello TSoM members and all Tango enthusiasts! I am excited to announce that my tango band, Rogue Tango, will be playing live for two milongas this month of June, 2021.
The first date is June 20th and is at the Eagles Club in South Minneapolis. We start the music at 6 30pm and continue until 10. We'll be DJing between sets and for a half hour after the band is finished. The cost is just $10. Please show your vaccination card. The Eagles now lays claim to the best dance floor around, the parking is free, the drinks are ample and inexpensive, the food is satisfying. So, please, make it out to hear the band and dance to live tango after a year's lock-down.
June 27th Rogue Tango returns to Grays Restaurant---formerly known and much loved as the Loring Bar. We are really stoked to bring live tango back to this famous and spectacular venue. There will be a $5 cover. There are interesting new items on the menu and a full array of beverages: wine, beer, cocktails, fru-fru creations and designer waters. Many of you have expressed deep desire to return to the Loring to dance and socialize, and this is that chance!! Moving forward, we hope to continue at least one milonga a month at Grays. If you've forgotten, the club is in Dinkytown, at the intersection of 4th Street and 14th Avenue SE. Don't miss this!
One moment to express my deep gratitude for hanging with us during the pandemic. Through live streams and networking we never lost touch. The support of Minnesota's tango community is our greatest strength and one we'll never take lightly.
