Special Events!! September 23rd: Workshop on Argentine Tango music by visiting Buenos Aires musicians Eduardo Tami (flute) and Leandro Marquesano (piano). www.eduardotami.com They have been invited to the United States to play concerts at several MN Universities, Duluth, Marshall and Anoka. While they are here they have also agreed to teach a workshop in tango music for us. They are delighted to bring their great knowledge of Argentine tango to us, and we are delighted to welcome them! 4:00PM Saturday, 3142 1st Ave S. 55408. There will be an evening milonga at Sabine's house later where they will also play.
Then, join us on Sunday, September 24th for an outdoor barbeque, in conjunction with Open Streets Nicollet. Open Streets is from 11 to 5, openstreetsmpls.org/nicollet, the barbeque will happen about 5. Bring something for the grill, or other dishes to share, and maybe a beverage. There will be dancing! 3142 1st Ave S. 55408
On Thursday, September 28th, Eduardo and Leandro will play a concert at Anoka-Ramsey Community College, at 7:00 p.m. Tango dancers will also perform! For those in Duluth, they will play on September 26th, and in Marshall, MN on September 22nd. All are free and open to the public.Contact me for more details.
