There are so many reasons to start dancing Argentine Tango, and for many of us it is a movie or watching the Argentine Tango that peeks our interest in the dance.
The 1997 movie "the Tango lesson" by Sally Potter is most definitely a movie that has inspired many many people to become tango dancers.

This weekend Fabian Salas is teaching in Rochester, MN ( info below) Fabian, Gustavo and Pablo are no doubt "THE" trendsetters of how Argentine tango is danced today. They are the ones that started to experiment with teaching classes when nobody else was teaching Argentine Tango. The only way to learn was to go to a milonga and "do" what the other dancers did.
Teaching the tango is still in it's young years; but YOU can be taught by both Fabian Salas and Gustavo Naveira!!!
How? Fabian is only about one hour away by car: Rochester MN with workshops THIS Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
On Saturday evening right after the workshop the Tango Society of Rochester is hosting a milonga with a demonstration by Fabian Salas and his partner Lola Diaz. Not to be missed! ( Where: the Martial Arts Fitness Center, 2849 South Broadway, Rochester, MN 55904)

And Gustavo Naveira? Gustavo has been teaching for more than 30 years now, his current partner ( and wife) Giselle Ann live in Boulder Colorado. Where they organize regular classes and festivals.
One that is not to be missed is the following: - the Boulder Tango Festival - October 3-5
They have the following guest instructors: Chicho and Juana, Adrian and Alejandra, Donato and Carolina, and both Giselle and Gustavo will be teaching as well.
If I am able to get a group of 10 participants together to travel to Boulder with me ( I will be attending for sure) I will be able to give those participants 15% off the offered registration price. But I need to know by August 6 Please contact me directly for more information.
