Did you know that the registration prices for TTC tango camp Minnesota will go up MAY 1st!!!!   So please do not wait with your registration: visit our website at www.tangoteachercoop.org

This is your opportunity to dance with so many people from other places, to explore your tango movements. Take what you have learned here in Minneapolis to a bigger playing area. To be frank with you, it helps us with organizing when you register rather than paying at the door!
So it will be a huge favor to your self (safe some money plus add fun ) and a little on to us ( :

We recently received some great news: Through grant money from the Tango Society of Minnesota we are now able to invite the Haiwatha Tango Orchestra to come and play on Sunday evening at the closing milonga! We are very grateful and pleased to be able to have live music at our event! This always adds to the atmosphere!   Want to know more about the Orchestra?  https://www.facebook.com/HiawathaTangoOrchestra

And this would not be possible without you: most of you are members of TSoM! If you are not and you would like to join :  http://www.mntango.org

Who is teaching at TTC tango camp?  Tomas Howlin, Jason Laughlin, Homer & Cristina Ladas, Melanie Klaric, Mitra Martin, Brigitta Winkler, Nick Jones and Diana Cruz!!!

Talking about TSoM: they have their monthly milonga coming up soon, Saturday May 10th.  Tango and I, Sabine and Diana, will be teaching the lessons before the milonga starts that evening. The event will be held at Four Seasons Dance Studio. take a look at TSoM's page www.mntango.org

Let's talk about classes EVERY WEDNESDAY EVENING at SOCIAL DANCE STUDIO  Argentine Tango classes by Sabine Ibes and Diana Devi.

located at 3742 23rd Ave. S. Minneapolis, MN 55407

We start our tango series with the beginners classes at 6.30:

This week: Getting familiar with the 8 count basic for week #1
Turns in the 8 count basic for week # 5

If you are a beginner tango dancer, you do not need to bring a partner to class. We make sure that there are always dance partners, instructors and assistants available to dance with you. You will not be sitting down in these classes! Bring shoes that you can pivot ( spin ) in easily. The first class at SDS is free, tell your friends!

All level series A and B at 7.30:

series A: Close Embrace Classics.  Everything that you know in tango in a close or closer embrace. For some movements it is more tricky than others. The embrace is part of the essence of Argentine Tango, and should be a comfortable one. Please join Diana for some great tango work!

series B: The ins and outs of tango steps, turns, and embraces!
The question we as teachers get asked the most is: "how do I start this sequence" or "how do end this move?"  These are actually not to difficult to figure out, but there are some tricks to the Tango trade, Sabine and Dave will help you discover them  ( :

Intermediate/Advanced level series at 8.30

The title to this class is:  TANGO
sacada, strong and weak beat, connection, axis, milonga, boleo, embrace, Biaggi or Canaro, balance, partner, forward cross etc etc etc
All these words have one thing in common: they all belong in TANGO     In this class, through tango movement and sequences you will start to understand more about tango, why it is danced a certain way and why it works.

PRACTICA : EVERY SATURDAY AFTERNOON FROM 3.30 TILL 5 AT SDS

Looking forward to seeing you in class!

Sabine and Diana
