[TSOM-Announce] 2nd Saturday Milonga “Heat up the Night!” January 11 - Free Admission for Members!

Shake off the ice and wind chill, and heat up the night this Saturday, Jan. 11 at TSoM's FREE Member Appreciation Milonga!

That's right! If you are a TSoM member or become a member at the January 2nd Saturday Milonga you can receive free admission! To qualify, simply arrive by 10:30 p.m. in time to vote for your selections for our 2014 Board (see below for candidates)

We are returning to a location that will bring back memories for many of you. About a decade ago, our milongas were based at the Lyndale Studio. A nice floor, great sound system, plus easy parking will add to the fun of the evening.

Bruce Abas will provide our lesson beginning at 8:30 p.m. This lesson will add fun embellishments to your dance. Bruce will cover "footplay" including foot stops, drags, and paradas. If we have time we might look at secadas, enrosques and lapise for the men and boleos for the ladies. The lesson will be slanted toward dancers with some experience, but, as always, beginners are welcome. The lesson will give you some nice additions to use during the rest of the evening.

Paul Lohman will be providing us with his special mix of music. Those of you who remember the "Tango Moments" articles about music will know that Paul brings the eye and ear of an artist to his music selection. Paul shares his music throughout our community. You know he is one of the best at creating the opportunity for special moments.

Of course we will have a table full of delightful snacks. We are always grateful for those who take the time and make the extra effort to bring a snack to share.

The January thaw is predicted. Make it even hotter by joining us for a sweet evening of Tango.
