This Saturday, Oct 19th workshop:   Secrets of the Musical Dancer: Jealous of those musical dancers? It doesn't happen by accident! It takes work, practice and of course the knowledge of some tricks. The fanciest move is meaningless when done without regard to the music, and the simplest move is magical when emphasized with the music. "He's so musical!" Be that guy! "She adorns so beautifully!" Be that follower!  Bring your notebooks, and your dance shoes! 2:00 $20 If you missed the workshop that Manuel and Luis gave, we will share some of the information that we gleaned.  Bring your notebooks, and your dance shoes!  2:00, 3142 1st Ave S. $20

3rd Saturday Milonga, Oct 19:  At the Hotel Ivy, hosted and DJ'd by Christopher Everett.  9:30PM start

Check out the cool new videos on my website!  "A Tango Journey" and the videos from La Vuature's visit.

Upcoming:  Next week, our expat Wendy Huebner and her Argentine friend Magaly will be at the Tuesday party, and then Wednesday Magaly will teach us some Argentine folkdances, including Chacarera and Zamba. What is Zamba? A very sensual dance where a couple approach each other flirtaciously with their handkerchiefs and romantically intertwine with each other in a dance of love. I'm sure that those who have been to BA have seen it! Wednesday night Oct 23 at Hotel Ivy.
