| | | Classes this Week: This week we are reviewing paradas. What are they? Those are stops, and as with all tango elements there are about a thousand different ways to do them. They add a lot to the dance and styling, and can be a great way for the follower to add her distinct style and voice. But of course, there are definitely wrong ways, especially those that make you disconnect from your partner or make your partner uncomfortable. I always get a lot of questions about these, especially from followers who don't understand what their leader is asking. We will go over several ways to add these beautiful, musical moves to your dance, and keep delighting your partner.
Private Lessons: Yes, we can have a socially distanced lesson here if you bring your own partner. If you have been vaccinated, we can have a lesson together. Or we can do a video lesson - it works great!
Tuesday Milonga: Lots of us who have been fully vaccinated have been joining here for a milonga/tango party, and it has been delightful! Every week more people join our ranks. If you have been vaccinated, come and join us! $5, 8:00, 3142 1st Ave S. Bring wine and food if you have some to share! I have plates and serving utensils.

Thursday Tango Milonga at the Eagles! Thursday, May 13, 7:00PM to 9:30. If you are vaccinated, please join us at the Eagles at 2507 S. 25th St in Minneapolis for a real milonga! DJ music from the Golden Age of course, and maybe a tanda of swing and salsa. The kitchen is open, and you may remember the food is great and reasonably priced. Masks are optional in the dance room, but mandatory in the bar area and elsewhere.

Time to plan for 2021 if you want to go on my tour! The 2021 trip will be in November, from the 17th to mid-December. Pick the dates that work for you and let me know so I can arrange housing. Airfares are great right now. I'll need to know for sure, with a deposit, by the end of July 2021. Limited space is available, so that I can give you the attention you deserve. We have so much fun!
