Argentine Tango is everywhere!!!

I was brought up in the Netherlands where I started to dance at the age of 8 years old. Jazz ballet was all the rage! High cut-out leotards in psychedelic colors, head bands, leg warmers And yes I had a perm...
I was intrigued by most dances and tried out a variety of genres; African, tap dance, ballet, ballroom dances. When I was moving I was happy. It was not until I moved to the United States that I discovered the Argentine Tango. How did I miss this one? It only became popular about 15 years ago. No classes available, or social dances. Right now, you can travel the world and dance the Argentine Tango anywhere, our friend Scott has told me that they even have Argentine Tango in North Korea! However, they only have one leader...... Tango on my friends!

Join us in a steamy marriage of music and dance in an exciting new collaboration. James Sewell, dancers from his Ballet Company, and guest artists Sabine Ibes and Joey Ray tango to heart-on-the-sleeve music performed by Carrie Vecchione and Rolf Erdahl of OboeBass! joined by acclaimed cellist Laura Sewell.

Sacada frenzy at Tango & I

Our beginner classes are held every Saturday @ 10am and Wednesday @ 6.30pm You miss one class you can easily make it up with another the same week: we teach the exact same curriculum on those 2 days! See our curriculum

Wednesday 7.30 pm ALL LEVEL classes
Sacada, including the fun back sacadas.
A sacada is a displacement, there are many different displacements. In fact it is not possible to get all of them into 4 different classes! Being creative with these movements as a lead and as a follower is what we will focus on!

Wednesday 8.30 Intermediate / advanced classes
Like in the 7.30 we will work on the intricacies of sacadas. With extra flair, musicality and technique. Over rotation for the followers into the back sacada, truly a fun step but tricky at times.

Our practica is always well attended by many level dancers. Come and join us EVERY saturday from 11 till 1
