Classes this Week: This week in socially distancing classes, we are going to have a class in bringing musicality into your dancing. We'll explore ways to put your moves in the right places in tango, and that makes your dance so much better - like fitting the round peg into the round hole. It's a sneaky and easy way to really improve your dance, without needing to memorize a new move.
Log on the same way you have before: it's easy! You can join with the video camera, or mute your mic and turn off your video. Same links as ever, just click here on your phone or computer: https://meet.google.com/fbu-xbiy-jjs
Otherwise, to join by phone, dial +1 774-404-2649 and enter this PIN: 959 028 975#

Private Lessons:  Yes, we can have a socially distanced lesson here if you bring your own partner. Or we can do a video lesson - it works great! Send me your video, and I'll help you diagnose what may be the problem.

Tuesday Milonga: Come and join us! We've been having a lot of fun outside, and chatting by video is a nice way to keep in touch. Come on over, or click this link on your phone or computer, and have your adult beverage ready. No charge, but donations are acceptable: https://meet.google.com/fbu-xbiy-jjs
Actual food, drink and seeing each other. Let's do it! I'm thinking a nice theme would be - Blanco!

Musings: Eternal Vigilance. That's what tango - or any skill - takes. You think you've got it, you've taken lots of lessons, you've walked your kilometers - certainly you are ready to stop that boring practice and just have fun dancing. Right? Well, it doesn't work that way. It is aggravating, but those same problems that you and your teacher spent so much time correcting, are just lurking in the background ready to sneak back into your dance. Now we have been away from dancing, away from practice, away from lessons, away from anyone reminding you or correcting you. So, yes, the problems that you started out with have probably returned. That isn't meant to discourage! That means it is time to take stock, time to remember your most vexing problems, time to pay extra attention to how you are walking, standing, sitting, listening. Any deterioration? Why not see if you can fix it now, before it becomes much harder. You fixed it once, you can do it again. Maybe this time for good!
