Classes this week: Tuesday we are working on adornments and embellishments, how the follower adds her substantial voice to the dance and how the leader leaves space and time for the follower. Tango is a conversation about the music, held in each other's arms. It is not a one-way dialog! Followers are sometimes unaware or nervous about how to add their voice. In a dance which is built to express the beauty of the follower, this doesn't make sense. Come this week to learn to adorn, and the secrets of how to make it beautiful, graceful and comfortable. Thursday class continues with cool secadas, difficult at first but now not so bad. Saturday morning class is cancelled! We'll be in Chicago dancing and learning.
Private Lessons: Schedule your private lesson in order to really advance quickly, and get at the root of problems. If you are interested in sharing, let me know. I have some people looking for partners.
Tuesday Milonga y Fiesta! You may have heard about how much fun we are having with our themes (check Facebook's Dance with Lois Donnay for the pictures). This week's theme is Cowboys, Cowgirls and Gauchos. Dress up, and/or bring a Western-themed food or drink. Beans heated on a campfire? Shots of bad whiskey? Use your imagination, or or just come and dance! See you every Tuesday at 9, after the lessons. Find the theme on my weekly email. Subscribe!
