Dear Tango Friends,
Do you want the good news first or the bad news?
Let’s start with the good:
This Monday, October 2, we will have a Practica Provocata. That is to say.. What were you thinking?
That is to say, we will have the benefit of Guillermo Cernaz (GJ) and Diana Devi stimulating us with iridescent crystals of tango essence at regular intervals. A little tango provocation, a little practice, rinse and repeat. We’ll do this between the hours of 8 and 9. Practica will follow on as usual after.
So, purified crystal tango… 99% awesome, 100% unregulated. That’s the good news.
Bad news: Our friends, relatives, and countrymen in Puerto Rico have a huge mess on their hands, and not enough help. We would like to send our love to them in the form of some relief dollars.
To help that happen, Desperadoes will have a charity milonga next Monday, October 9. All the money, every penny will go to a Puerto Rico Relief Charity. We will have on offer, great dancing, great peeps. But those are standard equipment at Deperados.
What is special for this milonga is that we will have several opportunities to win passes to seminars and classes: Lucian Valle, Maxi Gluzman and others to be announced.
Please bring your favorite shoes, a load of good will, some money for our suffering friends, and come home with big smiles and maybe some prizes.
