[TSOM-Announce] Fwd: Planning your tango! May Tango & I

May, feed your tango!

Walking out in my garden is such a delight in the month of May. Little seedlings, green fresh buds, the early plumb blossoms. I am lucky to be preparing our home grown asparagus with our  tasty eggs from our own chicken coop. Our daughters call us modern day hippies. That just makes me smile: elegant tango walking in my rubberboots and overalls behind the lawn mower. Growing my own mint to add to the water at the milongas. Mini tomatoes, strawberries, raspberries for in the cake to be shared at lessons, practicas and milongas. Even left over seedlings ( yes, indoors under the light, in a mini green house) that I bring to Dance Life Ballroom. What delight to have tango and gardening be intertwined. A little sunlight, water, nutrients. A little food and love goes into growing seedlings.  You can guess where I am going with this? Love your tango? You need to feed it. Come to class to make sure your tango is as delicious and colorful as our apples will be come fall.
Oh,  tell all of your hippie friends to come to tango BOOTCAMP June 3rd!  (see info below)

Yes!  Paul Lohman and Sabine Ibes have teamed up again to offer Musicality workshops designed especially for our Minnesota Tango folks!
POETIC EXPRESSION IN YOUR DANCE
That is the question - workshop #1 - There is poetry in tango, a lyrical, or rhythmical singsong that we are able to tap into while dancing. Becoming aware of these lovely melodies within the song that is being played AND being able to hear and dance to it. We will help refine your hearing and give you movements to them all.

I'm not sure this goes with that - workshop #2
Tango vocabulary, or the tango steps; where do you put them in the music, and how do you react to them as a follower. Always looking for something new in your movement? This is the class for you!

Now I'm getting it - workshop #3
There is a reason to a rhythm. There is a rhyme to a lyrical piece. And all of them can be found in the Argentine Tango music. You will be surprised by the amount of movements and fun you can have on these!
3 workshops that follow each other in a harmonious way.

3 workshops $55 - or $20 each

10 am That IS the question

11.30am I'm not sure this goes with that

1 pm Now I'm getting it
