[TSOM-Announce] Fwd: Discover your poetry in tango

Poetic tango movement

Musicality workshops.

3 workshops in one day

This Saturday May 20

Hosted by Paul Lohman ( DJ Pablo) and Sabine Ibes

10 am       "That IS the Question"

Listening to music evokes many emotions and feelings.  Much the same as when we listen to good poetry.  The famous poets know how to draw in the listener, and YOU as a dancer can learn to do the same for your partner.  Listening goes a long way to establishing a tango connection, and interesting conversation in the dance.  Paul and Sabine will tap in to some tools that you can find in the music.

11.30 am " I am not sure This goes with That"
When a step turns into a movement, and is followed up by yet another tango sequence, it sure can be a lovely aspect of the tango dance. Or is it?   Some rhythmic movements go well with others, but can you use them when a lyrical piece of tango music is playing?   Playing with quality tango movements to the quality of the music.

1 pm         "Now I am getting it"
And then there are the hidden, but not so hidden gems in the Argentine Tango Music. Being very specific where they appear in the songs.  Letting the poet in you know when to come out and play. Accurate movements and articulate footwork are the commas and periods of our tango poetry and make or break a good tanda.

All 3 workshops $55
Each class $20
