[TSOM-Announce] TSoM Waterfall

The TSoM Board fields lots of comments from our members and we try as best we can to be responsive. One area that often yields comments is the Waterfall.

TSoM Milongas have a Waterfall dance – a mixer – because we feel that it is part of our mission to create a friendly environment and one that enables people to “mix” and get to know one another. Some folks love the Waterfall; others do not.

So to try to find some middle ground, the board decided to be a bit more predictable in how and when the Waterfall happens at TSoM Milongas. Going forward:

·       the Waterfall will take place around 10:15 pm

·       and will be two songs in length.

This way we can get folks dancing with each other and perhaps even dancing with people they haven’t danced with in the past, while also limiting the length of time.

All this being said, the Twin Cities is, in fact, one of the most welcoming tango communities in the country. Thanks to all of you who make is so! But we want to foster and enhance that image. So we hope that you will take part in the Waterfall and seize the opportunity to meet some new dancers and continue to make the Twin Cities a fun and welcoming place to dance tango.

See you on the dance floor,

Paul Lohman

On behalf of the TSoM Board.
