| | | Sunday Special Event: Barbeque and Backyard Dance! Open Streets Nicollet is an annual event where they close Nicollet from Lake St. to 46th St and people get to explore all the fun things to do on this street, nicknamed "Eat Street". Since we are almost on the corner, we are going to have an outdoor milonga in the backyard in conjunction with the event! We'll start at noon and end when people leave. Thursday Special Event: We have been invited to demonstrate Argentine Tango at 333 S. 7th St Turf Club (the former Accenture building) Outside on the patio with drinks and appetizers, or inside if the weather is bad. We will dance, teach a tango lesson, and then tenants will join in the dance near the patio.located outside of the 333 S. Seventh Street building in downtown Minneapolis. Parking available in the underground garage, accessible off of 8th St. between 3rd and 4th Aves. Free!! Classes: Now is the time where things start coming together, making sense, breakthroughs are happening. We are exploring the connections between all the elements that have been introduced, and the dance starts to flow freely and effortlessly. Now followers have the opportunity to embellish and adorn the dance. This takes courage and a little attitude - and every tango woman should have that! Let me show you how.
I especially encourage women who would like to learn to lead to come to classes. Leading for women is only different because of our weight distribution and sometimes smaller stature. That in no way impedes your ability to lead well, but sometimes classes geared toward men do not take this into account. You can try to figure this out on your own (that;s how I had to learn) or you can speed up the process by coming to classes so I can share my knowledge with you.
