[TSOM-Announce] Premiere Performance of Bob Barnes Tango Trio at Loring Pasta Bar this Sunday!

¡Queridos Tangueros!

This Sunday will be the premiere performance of the Bob Barnes Tango Trio featuring Cecilia Garcia-Gaul on violin, Greg Bryers on Bass and me, Bob Barnes, on Bandoneon and piano.  The trio specializes in playing arrangements and transcriptions of Golden Age instrumentals with some danceable Piazzolla arrangements and some of my originals thrown in. This Sunday will feature tandas of DiSarli & DeAngelis tangos, Canaro Vals and Canaro Milonga. We will also play my new arrangement of Astor Piazzolla's "4 Seasons of Buenos Aires". I will DJ tandas of golden age tangos (and beyond!) between and after the 3 live sets.

Cecilia Garcia-Gaul is a violinist from a Tango family in Buenos Aires. Her father is one of the most virtuosic bandoneonist I have ever heard. The two of them played at a TSoM milonga last May. Greg Bryers is Jazz Cellist and Bassist who loves playing tango. Bob Barnes is a Bandoneonist, arranger and bandleader who started "Mandragora Tango" in 2001 and played every Sunday at the Loring Pasta Bar for over a decade.

The Loring Pasta Bar is at 327 14th Avenue Southeast,  Minneapolis, MN 55414 (612) 378-4849. Reservations are suggested if you would like to have dinner and to be seated around the dance floor. There is no cover charge, but we do suggest that you buy at least a drink or two to help support live music.

¡Un abrazo milonguero a todos!

-Cecila, Greg & Bob
