Oscar Casas and Ana Miguel will be arriving Wed, March 30th and staying until April 6th. Oscar has n aelegant style of dancing distilled from dozens of grand maestros of Tango in Buenos Aires and he enthusiastically and humorously shares these secrets of how to dance with his students. You can travel and take classes with him at the famous milonga El Beso in Buenos Aires, or take advantage now to study with him right here, in English. People travel from all over the world to take classes from them in Buenos Aires - but you can take their classes in your hometown - classes that are designed for the Twin Cities tango scene! It is rare that we have access to such high quality instructors.  Take as many classes as you can - we don't know when they will be back! Do not miss all that they have to offer!

April 2nd and 3rd: Workshops Oscar teaches in a clear, relevant style, and everything he teaches works for the floor. You will defiitely leave with an enhanced ability for tango. Saturday, April 2nd

12:30–2 p.m.-Boleos milongueros in close embrace. These movements represent musical effects without using space on the dance floor.

2:15 p.m.–3:45 p.m. -The Art of leaning (apilarce). Leaned figures with great female adornments that enhance the connection, the pause and highlights the woman's participation.
4:00  - 5:30-100% Cadence (Cadencia). A mystical classic milonguero movement that softens the general movements through the famous tango suspensions
Sunday, April 3rd
11:30–1 p.m. - Milonga as it should be danced. This class teaches how to dance Milonga as a separate and different dance from the tango or waltz.
1:15 p.m.–2:45 p.m. – Sacadas and contra sacadas- This old tango movement will be reviewed in detail for the pleasure of the dancers.
3:00 to 4:30 - Vals:  Walks with crosses are a sophisticated form, full of surprises and musical movement. Walks with crosses requires great technical knowledge enhancing posture and embrace; realizing the elegance of the waltz.
A word about levels: Some have asked me whether they are good enough to take these classes. Yes, you are! We'll change partners frequently. If you become overwhelmed, Oscar and Ana (and I) will be there to help. If the class becomes too difficult or you feel they are moving on too quickly, you can continue to perfect what you learned - you do not need to move on.
