Classes this Week: Tuesday and Saturday we'll work on ocho cortados. Elegant, useful, fun, and made for any dancefloor. You must have this in your dance. In Intermediate - can we insert a secada into the ocho cortado? Maybe a boleo? In any case - it will be leadable, and easy to follow.

Milonga in Rochester! This weekend I will teach and DJ at the Rochester Tango Society milonga, April 4th. I will be available for privates all day, but the slots are filling up fast. Contact me if you want to schedule.
Private Lessons: Scheduling every day. Call or email at lois@mndance.com
Upcoming: I am teaching workshops in T
hunder Bay, Canada April 24th to 26th. They have a full weekend of events planned!
Susana Miller, the renowned tango teacher, is coming for extensive workshops the last weekend in May. Last time that I brought her to the Twin Cities was transformative. Do not miss it!
Musings: I was surprised to read a posting by a European woman who says she doesn't like going to milongas where people are encouraged to dance with everybody, including newcomers. She is afraid she will be noticed as only dancing with certain people, and feel encouraged to dance with someone she didn't expressly choose. Well - that's not how we roll here. I will ALWAYS encourage people to dance with everyone, because that is fun. Interesting. Challenging. Rewarding. And it is one of the reasons one of my people recently said to me, after a particularly fun party, "Thanks, Lois. You brought fun back into my life". And that, my friends, is Tango.
