Information meeting about Buenos Aires tour March 2015 | | | | | | November tango classes at SDS Every week a new tango class for the months of November and December we call them: Tango treats for the Holidays We know how these next two months are busy for all of us, the unpredictability of the weather; you having to de-ice the car windows, the upcoming holidays that brings family to town and the necessary planning to go along with that. So, our classes are designed that you can drop in at any Wednesday class for the next two months! That is right: ANY Wednesday evening!
6.30 Beginning classes
Join us for these beginning classes, every month we start fresh with the foundation tango material. The 8 count basic movement with forward and backward ochos. We talk about the embrace, and tango etiquette, we add turns and some flair to the dance. You will learn to lead and to follow the 8 count basic steps so you will be able to pick up the understanding of Argentine Tango structure a little faster than usual.
Bring shoes you can dance in easy, no need to bring a partner.

Applying musicality to your leading and following skills, what should we listen for? How does movement change with different music?
Wednesday Nov. 12 - Ruling the musicality!
It is one thing to listen to the music it's another to let the music rule you! How to slow down, use your quality of movement to bring out the best musicality in your dance moves.
Wednesday Nov. 19 - Talking Tango Turkey
Thanksgiving Tango: Where did some of the tango movement come from? How did it evolve and what are the possibilities in the future? Sharing new and old traditional tango movements.

Wednesday Nov. 12 - Ruling the Musicality! 2
Having a partnership with the music AND your dance partner, what is she/he hearing? Can you adjust even though you might not "hear" the same thing in the music? : this will change your quality of movement to the quality of music.
Wednesday Nov. 19 - Talking Tango Turkey 2
Thanksgiving Tango: The influences of different cultures and the Argentine Tango. The dance is danced all over the world now, how can we adjust our dancing and our movements.
