Classes this Week: We have been working on some very fun moves that really add to your tango enjoyment. Musical and beautiful, they are also easy to lead and follow. This is important, as the best parts of tango are lovely surprises for your follower. She loves those! Saturdays we have some new people, but could use a few more guys Thursdays we have been short on followers. Ladies, if you want the guys to get better, you need to come and help!

Private Lessons:  Are you "stuck" in your tango development? This is very common, but it is also very curable. Come in for a tango checkup! It won't hurt - well, maybe a little, but you'll feel so much better afterwards!

Tuesday Milonga: Time for another great party! This week's theme is Nautical.  Sailing, sailors, water, lifesavers, ships, bell bottom trousers, boats and captain's hats. Or just wear some navy blue!  Of course, as always, plenty of dancing, eating, drinking and friends.
Next week: Polka dots!

This Weekend's Events:  The Hiawatha Tango Orchestra will play live Tango music for dancing and listening under the big tent as part of the MN Orchestra's Sommerfest. We are all invited to social dance outside free of charge!. All are welcome to join in the dance ot to just listen. This is before Karen Gomyo plays Piazzolla's "4 Seasons of Buenos Aires" in a ticketed concert with the MN Orch  Friday, July 19, 2019 at 6 PM – 7:45 PM.  You can get tickets to the concert for $6.00 if you use the promo code "DAYOFMUSIC19" go to  minnesotaorchestra.org/Sommerfest

Musings: There was a recent poll among dancers and coming in at #10 was Not Improving After Years of Dancing. No matter what your skill level is, your partners really appreciate it if you are improving and not making the same mistakes year after year after year.  Get some quality in your dance. Your partners will tolerate many things for a long time: off rhythm, arm leading, poor embrace, forcing moves you can't lead, following things that weren't lead, missing leads, leaving the embrace, but it really needs to be fixed if you intend to keep dancing.  Beginner leads of course are taking classes - but are you listening and correcting?  Experienced leads should continue in classes, and not be too surprised when you find a problem that you solved years ago is back.

There is still time to come with me to Buenos Aires in November, but reserve with me soon. Pick the dates that work for you and let me know so I can arrange housing. I'll need to know for sure, with a deposit, by the end of July 2019. Limited space is available, so that I can give you the attention you deserve. We have so much fun! See the website for more info.
