[TSOM-Announce] Fwd: March newsletter, Grand opening month = Grand deals and fun at Tango & I

be a tango facilitator!

You too can help grow our tango community! Become a peer to peer tango facilitator!
At Tango Bootcamp all the new beginner students will be paired up with a tango dancer: YOU!!  Guided by experienced teachers, you will acquire the tools that you will need to help a beginner student have fun while learning to dance the tango!

You will have to attend one learning session and one practica, where you will practice with other peer tango dancers. And then, obviously, the Bootcamp itself.

You can choose between 2 sessions:
A - Thursday March 8, 7pm,
or B - Thursday March 15, 7pm

Practica - Saturday March 17 11 till 2
Bootcamp - Sunday March 18 1.30 till 5

We have a lovely group of 14 Tango facilitators  already! And who knows where this might lead you to........(and YES you too will get to wear these incredibly stylish "will gancho for hugs" t-shirt)

March at Tango & I

This is a special month for us: we moved in to our lovely new space the Flying Pig Studio. We have received great feed back from everybody. Yes, there needs to be some tweaking here and there. Tomorrow the mirrors will be installed, and the unfortunate leaky roof needs to be repaired (sigh). A kitchenette is on the list, and a coat rack that holds more than 12 coats at a time  is probably not a luxury item either!  Do come and join us at the Grand opening, hopefully we will not be derailed by another snow storm  ( like the canceling of our very first Tango con~fusion milonga) We would love to see you there!
Classes are in full swing, oh, oh, did you see that there is a yoga class every Sunday at noon.  Our Tango & I classes have been filled with laughter and learning. Our team is happy to have Marcy return from the outback, Australia. Morgan, Avery, Marcy, Megan and I have some exciting tango movements for you in store in March! Including a guided technique practica by Melina Brufman! (March 31, see  profile below)

Yes to Private lesson!  Book here

Melina Brufman, Sabine's tango teacher, will be in town!

Melina is in the United States because her brother is getting married here. She has her 2 year old youngest son with her and is visiting her friends. She will be in Minneapolis for one week, where she will be teaching Tango & I classes, a technique Practica, private lessons and one special class at the Desperados.       I really really implore all of you to come to as many classes as possible. Almost all of the technique that I use, have come from her teachings. I have been working with her for  over 10 years in Buenos Aires, and here in the States.
You might know her as well; her stage presence is outstanding. She has been a judge for the Tango World Championship in Buenos Aires since 2005. And recently choreographed and took part in "Un Tango Mas"

Please message me here about private lessons, THEY ARE SO VERY WORTH IT!  ($120 one hour, $310 for 3 hours)

I will keep you posted as the date comes a little closer. In the meantime have fun watching her dance;  Note around 1.35 her incredible fast footwork.  Her social dancing looks quite a bit different.  BTW she leads as fierce as she follows!!

IT IS BAAAAAAACK!!!!

                THE TANGO CHALLENGE IS HERE!

You want to be part of something bigger? Get your feet deeply immersed into Argentine Tango? The commitment  to this program can be see as the  equivalent work involved in  a College Course; 7 hours of tango a week for 3 months. Together with steady teammates, and tango buddies you will work hard to find yourself graduating by a group performance at a milonga!

This program has been highly successful, we have 19 graduates in the Twin Cities and about 214 in Los Angeles,  where the program has been a great succes for over 5 years!

Here is some more information!
Or here to see who is interested in coming....
