Even though we are thoroughly enjoying the chillier-than-usual otoño porteño, Luis and I are looking forward to a summer packed with tango adventures all over Europe, and hope that you'll join us at one of our fabulous desinations! For those planning to come to Buenos Aires, we hope you will be our guests at Tango Oasis and possibly join us at one of our Foundations Immersion Seminars here later this year and in 2017. Please keep reading for more details on our upcoming activities. The full schedule can be found on our web site. We hope to see you somewhere along the way! Europe Summer/Fall Tour Our little family of three will be visiting the Netherlands, Belgium, France, England, Switzerland, Germany, Poland, Greece, Italy and Austria from early July through mid-October. You can check out the schedule here. If the idea of a weeklong holiday dancing, learning, and generally having tons of fun in a great location appeals to you, there are several opportunities to join us in such a setup: in the Netherlands, in the south of France, in Greece, in a villa in Umbria, Italy, and in Sardinia, also in Italy. We love this work format and cannot recommend any of these programs enough. They are the perfect opportunity to combine rest & relaxation in a beautiful location with intense, focused tango work, and they allow us the opportunity to really get to know each other after sharing many days together.  For a shorter but just as sweet experience, you may consider joining us in the gorgeous Lake District in the UK for an extended weekend (this is our fourth year and we always look forward to it!), or in our weekend workshops in Freiburg, Germany, Bury St. Edmunds, UK, and Vienna, Austria. Last but not least,we are proud to announce the first European edition of "The Walk, Pivots and Turns" Foundations Immersion Seminar in Krakow, Poland on August 24-28, after 13 successful editions both in Buenos Aires and in the U.S.. You can find extensive information about the seminar here, including feedback from previous students.Krakow is one of our favorite cities and most beloved tango communities and we cannot wait to share it with friends from all over the world! Please keep in mind that June 15th is the early-bird deadline for the Krakow Foundations Immersion Seminar. Registrations are coming in already so make sure to act fast to ensure your spot! Buenos Aires If you are planning to come to Buenos Aires,  "Tango Oasis", our guest house, is waiting for you! It is located in a virtually perfect central location (2 blocks to the subway, 8 to 12 blocks to many of the most popular tango venues including Salon Canning, La Viruta, Villa Malcolm, DNI Studios, Club Fulgor de Villa Crespo and El Yeite), in the lively Almagro neighborhood with multiple restaurants, coffee shops and stores. The house features 9 bedrooms, a quiet lounge, a large kitchen/dining/living area, rooftop terrace and access to our adjacent dance studio, the whole space has been planned to extend you the warmest welcome in Buenos Aires. We especially hope you consider joining one of our upcoming Foundations Immersion Seminars: PROGRAM "THE LEAD/FOLLOW DIALOGUE" November 21-25  We are excited to introduce a new program, focused exclusively on the interplay between leader and follower. We will explore various channels for connection; understand how to achieve perfect timing with each other; establish a two-way communication with each other guided by the music; and understand how to move both symmetrically and asymmetrically, introducing playfulness and opportunities for both to express themselves. PROGRAM "THE WALK, PIVOTS AND TURNS" February 6-10,2017  Our oldest program consists of a week focused on nothing less than the building pilars of tango: the walk, pivots and turns, including posture, axis and core work; individual and partnered walk and pivot technique; leading and following ochos; technique for turns in small spaces and in close embrace; musicality for turns in tango, vals and milonga. PROGRAM "TURN ODYSSEY" February 20-24 This program consists of a comprehensive exploration of turns, one of the main tools in tango. We will consider all of their aspects: individual foundation work on posture, axis, weight transfers, pivots; the 3 geometrical possibilities for turns; dynamics (suspensions, drops and changes of speed); adding classical elements such as sacadas, ganchos and boleos; breaking away from the molinete to explore new, fully improvised options in the turn, including changes of direction. You can sign up with a partner, by yourself, or hire an advanced dancer as a partner.
