Classes: Lots of new stuff from Buenos Aires! Now is the time when I am most committed to improving tango here in Minnesota - after spending weeks in the embrace of the great dancers of BAires. I often hear from women "teach the local guys that embrace!" But the embrace of the woman is just as important. Once the connection is great, we can do some excellent things on the floor. And I have learned some excellent things! You and your partners are going to love them! Groups or privates.
Tuesday Party: Always a fun time, but now the Boutique is restocked. Come and check it out while the selection is good! 9PM, after the lessons. Musings: I had some great conversations with Ernest last week. Both of us recently back from Buenos Aires, we are both working to bring the beautiful feeling of the dancing and milongas back here to the US. This seems to be a difficult task, as of course, our culture is different - the lament of every teacher I hang out with in BA is how to spread that BA tango feel. But as more people go to Buenos Aires, and go more frequently, the change will be easier. I have seen profound changes in people after a couple of trips to BA. If you can't go yourself right now, support those who go, spend some time with them, listen to them and dance with them. Osmosis may be the next best thing! | | |  Tango Boutique! New arrivals!
