Saturday, November 14th: Workshop on Nailing the Endings. Tango music has great, dramatic endings, so don't throw those away! In this workshop, we will learn how to predict and dance the endings of the songs. Exercises and tricks, reading the music and creating a "picture-worthy" moment.
We'll cover:
* Predicting the end of the song (musicality!)
* Cool poses - make her look great.
* Practicing the possibilities
* Tricks and shortcuts until it's second nature
* Taking advantage of your leader's position, so you look great!
This is going to be fun, and very rewarding. Followers, bring those leaders you want to have these skills!
1:30PM 11/14, in the beautiful chapel space in the Center for Performing Arts, 38th and Pleasant Ave, Mpls. Only $20 for this important workshop!

Upcoming in Classes: This week is the last I will be here before my trip to Buenos Aires! (Still time for some privates) Augusto will take over the classes seamlessly while I am in Buenos Aires. Good news - he is reducing the prices of the classes to $10 when he takes them over Nov 17th. Then, December 1st, Ernest Williams will be here, teaching all the classes and also giving privates. Plus, he will have 2 special workshops on the first and second Saturday. Ernest has taught tango nationally and internationally, in Richmond, Charlotte, D.C., Baltimore, Philadelphia, NYC, Buffalo, Cleveland, Nashville, St. Louis, Chicago, Milwaukee, Albuquerque, San Francisco, Montevideo, Uruguay and Buenos Aires, and is teaching at BurningTango in 2016. Definitely take his classes while he is here, and try to get in a couple of privates.

Musings: As I waxed wistfully this week in a class, a student said "You're already in Buenos Aires, aren't you?" It is true, the closer I get to Argentina the better I get at imparting the true spirit of tango. Don't worry, I'll bring back a lot! I will be renewing my tango soul in BA - one of the reasons I know it is essential to go back to the Mecca of tango. Too long away and one may start to think of tango as just another dance, or worse, another hobby to work on one's technic. But of course that's such a little part of tango. I hope that I always am effective in helping you understand the true spirit of tango. There's room! Come with me this year!
