[TSOM-Announce] Tango at the MN State Fair!

Good news! The tango community has been asked to dance at the MN State Fair again this year!  Here are the times: 

Thursday September 3 at 10AM, 11, and 12 noon, 1/2 hour each

Monday September 7 at  10AM, 11, and 12.  1/2 hour each

You don't need to be a great dancer - We want to share that tango is good for everyone.  Of course, if you have been working on some fancy things, or have a performance routine, we would love to have you showcase it here.  But mostly we want to show that tango is a social dance, culturally interesting, and is   But even if you don't want to be on the stage, you can be an enthusiastic audience member, and help hand out literature.

We will have a GREAT time. Last year, our group wandered around the fair after the performance and found other music to dance to.

I have some free tickets.  To get a free ticket, please commit to dancing all three times for that day. You can pick up your ticket wherever you see me, at my classes, parties, milongas, etc.

Also - we have been invited to do some dancing at Open Streets Nicollet. So, mark you calendar for September 20th. No stage, so a little less intimidating.

P.S. At the Tuesday Party, we all decided that it would be wonderful to have a picnic to celebrate another one of our perfect Minnesota summer days. So, Friday August 14 we will meet on the grass just below the 31st St. South steps on the east side of Lake Calhoun. We'll start about 4:00, and go until - well, until we leave.

You are welcome to bring food and drinks to share, plates, chairs, blankets, swimsuits, games, friends, toys, watercraft, pets, etc.

Watch out for spontaneous bursts of laughter, dancing, joy and love.

Possible sailboat rides on the Hobie.
