Musings: I was thinking recently that my slogan should be "We sell fun." Or maybe, "We sell connection". Or "We Sell Hugs". I don't know, but I know that being in the tango community means that you have something to do almost every night of the week, with a diverse selection of friends, and a diverse selection of venues. You can choose to dress up or not, stay for a long time or leave early, dance a lot, talk a lot, or sit and quietly watch and listen to the music. Some milongas have themes, or alternative music, or small floors, but if you hate themes, want traditional music, and need room, there is a milonga the next night that's got what you want. And even if you hate the theme, the music, the floor, the parking, and the time - you come, and encourage your friends to come, because the energy of a room full of friends is the best gift in the world. It's fun. It's connected. And someone will give you a hug. What a wonderful gift that is.
