Bataclan Tango is proud and excited to bring Fernanda Ghi back to Minneapolis from June 14th - 18th. Only 2 weeks from now!!
Information about workshops:
Location: Saturday and Sunday workshops will be held at Four Seasons Dance Studio, 1637 Hennepin Ave, Minneapolis, 55403.
Please note that the location changed for what we originally planned due to the Stone Arch Bridge Festival.
Saturday, June 15th 2019:
Master Class for Women - Adornments: 11:45am-1:45pm ($35)
Two hours of intense technique work for women only. I got many requests to repeat last year's workshop so here is our chance!
Rhythmic vs Melodic: 2:00pm-5:15pm
These are 2 intense workshops about rhythmic and melodic tangos, and how to use the mechanic of the movement to differentiate between these 2 styles according to the accent in the music. Examples of walks and turns for each style. If you are interested, you must register in both. It's divided in 2 due to the intense material. Cost is $60 in advance or $70 at the door. There is no option to take only one:
2:00pm-3:30pm: Rhythmic vs Melodic I
3:45pm-5:15pm: Rhythmic vs Melodic II
Sunday, June 16th 2019:
Understanding Roles: 1:30pm-3:30pm ($35)
Two intense hours focused on understanding both roles. Not gender oriented. Fundamentals and differences between leader or proposer and follower or partner.
Intro to Candombe and transition to Milonga: 3:45pm-5:15pm
A fun, up beat workshop to understand the rhythm and the pauses in the milonga. Cost $30 in advance or $35 at the door.
