[TSOM-Announce] Date-Request preferences for 2015 TSOM Milonga DJ/Instroctors underway

Fellow dancers,

 

Every year about this time, letters are sent to the DJs and Instructors that teach and DJ at the TSOM Milongas,

requesting their date-preferences and dates-not-available for the coming year (2015).  That letter was sent out last week,

preferences are due back to me by Monday.   If you are on the current teacher/DJ list, and did not receive

a letter, please contact me ASAP.  If your are an AT DJ or Instructor, are not on the list, and want to be

on the list, you will need to make a request to the TSOM board; contact me for details of the process.

If accepted, you will be assigned to the open slots on the list (if any), otherwise when the assignments are

made for 2016.

 

Sometime in the near future, the DJ/Instructor dates will be assigned based on the materials received.

A few days prior to that, I will post to this list when and where I'll be doing that asssignment (usually some coffe shop).

Any member of TSOM is welcome to come an observe the process, and to ask questions as appropriate.

 

Thanks to the 3 of you who have already returned your preference letters to me.

There are specific exercises you can do improve, and we'll do those. Tango lives in the music - not the moves.  It makes me crazy when I see great moves done at the wrong time in the music, or not musical at all. Such a missed opportunity! This is my most popular workshop. November 15th, 2:00.  $20 Classes:  While I am Buenos Aires, the Tuesday lessons will be taught by Augusto on Nov 25, and by Dave and Greta (Gretchen) on Dec 2nd and 9th. This is a rare opportunity to get insights from these folks.  Don't miss them! Privates:  I am on my way to BA soon, so I'm open to deals -don't forget the Tango Crash Course!  5 lessons in one week, $350.  Also includes a group lesson. Whenever an established authority such as MNDOT advises against unnecessary travel or assembly, the Tango Desperados will honor that advisory if it falls around the time or vicinity of the Deperados practica at the Eagles Aerie.

Tango is forever. Conditions that impede tango are only temporary.

So, our classes are designed that you can drop in at any Wednesday class for the next two months! That is right: ANY Wednesday evening! 6.30 Beginning classes Join us for these beginning classes, every month we start fresh with the foundation tango material. The 8 count basic movement with forward and backward ochos. We talk about the embrace, and tango etiquette, we add turns and some flair to the dance.
